Children's Neurosciences

Specially trained neurologists and neurosurgeons play an integral role at Children's of Mississippi clinics and surgery suites. Compassionate care teams include physicians board certified in the evaluation, treatment and surgical intervention for young patients with nervous system disorders.

We are regionally known for our expertise in treating pediatric neuromuscular disorders, including special clinics for muscular dystrophy, epilepsy and spasticity.

The state's only board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon is part of our team, performing more than 400 surgical treatments last year for a variety of brain, spinal cord and central nervous conditions affecting infants, children and teens.

The continuum of care includes the pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, specially equipped surgical suites with children-appropriate instruments and comprehensive clinics offering multidisciplinary and leading-edge services for spina bifida, pediatric brain tumors, craniofacial anomalies and other disorders.
