Finally, you’ve heard those magic words from your doctor: no detectible signs of cancer left. Now what?
Actually, you’ve been working on the “now what” aspect of living with and after cancer since the day you were diagnosed. This is just a different stage.
Your University Cancer Care doctors first will talk to you about follow-up visits and signs and symptoms you should watch for in between visits. During this time, you may need other services to help you restore a more normal lifestyle.
That can range from physical or occupational rehabilitation to simply finding a support group where you can talk about your highs and lows, your fears and your excitement at this new development in your life. University Cancer Care team members can point you in the direction of many services you may wish to explore, whether it’s establishing a healthier lifestyle or finding a support group.
