Student Nurse Externship

Applications will be accepted from Jan. 19-23, 2015, for the 2015 Summer Student Nurse Externship Program.

This eight-week program is open to nursing students who have completed one academic year or two clinical semesters. SNEs provide nursing care under the direction of a preceptor.

The Student Nurse Externship Program provides students with the opportunity to work in a healthcare setting under the guidance of a preceptor. The program provides students with an opportunity to refine nursing skills and build confidence while working as a full-time nurse.

  • Must be within one year of graduation from an approved registered nurse program with a minimum grade of C in all nursing courses.
  • Must be in good standing in the school of nursing.
  • Must be enrolled in an approved school of nursing academic externship program.

Program dates: May 26-July 31, 2015
