University of Mississippi Medical Center facilities provide a variety of parking options for patients and visitors.
Free parking
Free parking is available at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium on North State Street across from the main hospital. When those lots are full, overflow parking is available within a short distance.
Free parking also is available for patients visiting the University Physicians Pavilion or Jackson Medical Mall.
Shuttle service
Free shuttle buses run between stadium and overflow parking lots and UMMC hospitals and clinics from 5:30 a.m.-midnight Monday-Friday. The bus service runs about every 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, weather and construction. Shuttles follow a circular route that includes stops within the stadium parking lot, near hospital buildings and several other key locations on campus.
Shuttles to and from the Jackson Medical Mall and the main campus operate from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Travel time is about 30 minutes.
Shuttle service is not available on weekends or UMMC holidays. Special shuttles are equipped for limited disability access.
Parking lots
Garage A offers easy access to University Hospital. Garage B is convenient to Conerly Critical Care Hospital, Wiser Hospital for Women & Infants and Batson Children’s Hospital. Lot C also is near the children's hospital, while lot D is situated on the north side of the campus.
Parking also is available at garages A and B and lots C and D on the UMMC campus. Cost is $1 an hour with a maximum daily rate of $10.
Discounted parking permits for patients (one vehicle per patient) can be purchased from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the UMMC business office, located on the first floor of the main hospital, and on weekends or nights at obstetrics receiving, located on the basement level of Wiser Hospital.
Valet parking
Free valet parking also is available for day surgery and Heart Station patients. Valets are stationed at the University Hospital entrance; vehicles are parked in the lower level of garage B. For all other patients and visitors, there is a $7 charge for valet service.
