Group Offers Support for Grieving Families

remembrance logoRemembrance, a support group for families dealing with miscarriage, stillbirth or early neonatal death, has been established by a group of UMMC genetic counselors.

The goal is to facilitate open discussions regarding the grieving process and to present different strategies for ongoing healing and growth. Remembrance is open to anyone who has been impacted by a pregnancy loss.

Meetings are led by genetic counselors with training in pregnancy loss, grief management and small group discussions. All meetings are confidential. Attendees participate in discussions and sharing on a voluntary basis.

Meetings are held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the University Physicians Pavilion, classroom MO-16. The Pavilion is located at 1410 E. Woodrow Wilson in Jackson. For more information, call (601) 984-1921 or (601) 815-4487.
