At the University Physicians (UP) Kids Assessment and Behavior Clinic, we provide comprehensive testing and outpatient treatment for children and adolescents (ages 2-22) who demonstrate learning, behavioral and/or emotional problems.
Our clinic, part of the Children's Healthcare of Mississippi psychiatry program, includes a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the psychological testing, evaluation and treatment of children. And as part of the state's only academic medical center, we possess a network of allied professionals to assist in treatment options. When appropriate, we coordinate with social workers, nurse practitioners and other pediatric specialists. Our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment when needed.
We also provide support services for schools, teachers and counselors by evaluating a range of emotional and behavioral difficulties in students.
